StockMins – Feedlot Buffer Blend

Buffer Premix for High Grain Diets

Purpose

An effective feedlot buffer designed to accompany high grain diets and during feedot induction to reduce the incidence of acidosis (grain poisoning) in lambs, sheep and cattle.

Product Description

  • Molassed to control dust and product losses and limit separation in mixed grain feeds
  • Contains sodium bicarbonate for immediate buffering of high acid conditions in the rumen.
  • Contains AcidBuff® a proven mid term buffering agent
  • Contains bentonite clay for its longer-term buffering, anti-acid and impurity binding properties.
  • Contains finely particulate limestone to supply calcium and to have a longer-term buffer effect.

Product Appearance

StockMins-Buffer Blend appears as a dust free powder. It contains come course granules interspersed in a powdered matrix. It is off white in colour with a slight sweet smell of molasses.

Feeding Instruction

Mix thoroughly together with other ingredients to make a complete mixed ration at a rate of 15 to 30kg of Buffer Blend supplement per 1 tonne of feed.

Also can offered free access in tubs limiting intake to around 20g – 30g/head/day once animals are fully adapted. Animals will tend to control intake to recommended levels, once adapted. When feeding free access use one tub for 50 – 60 lambs.

Caution: Only feed to livestock intended.
