Granular Mineral Supplement for Sheep and Cattle

Purpose

StockMins – Hoof n Horn is a complete high specification supplement designed to be fed to livestock to fortify hooves and chitinous tissues at times when animals are predisposed to foot abscess and other Fusobacterium Necrophorum and Actinomyces infections. It also offers general fortification of minerals, trace elements and vitamins.

Product Description

  • Contains high levels of biotin which has been shown to increase hoof quality and strength.
  • As well as inorganic zinc, StockMins–Hoof n Horn contains a high level of an organic, highly available form of zinc bound to the amino acid methionine. This specific organic zinc has strong indications for hoof quality and immune response.
  • Contains high levels of iodine as indicated for foot abscess in sheep.
  • Vitamin E for ewe health, immune-response and lamb survival and viability.
  • Is fortified with an highly effective acid buffer to reduce the chance of acidosis.
  • Weather resistant to reduce water damage and leaching.

Product Appearance

StockMins – Hoof n Horn appears as a granular, palatable, dry and dust-free powder. It is molasses coated and weather resistant.

Feeding Instruction

Mixed Rations:

Mix thoroughly together with other ingredients to make a complete mixed ration at a rate of 25kg per of StockMins – Hoof n Horn supplement per 1 tonne of feed.

Free Access Feeding:

Offer StockMins – Hoof n Horn free access in tubs limiting intake to 20 – 30g/head/day for sheep and 100 – 150g/head/day for cattle once animals are fully adapted. Use one tub for 50 – 60 sheep or 30 cattle.
