Purpose
StockMins – BoviBloat Plus is a dual-active, multi-action, palatable loose-lick supplement designed to assist in the control and onset of pasture bloat by direct feeding at pasture or including in feed rations.
Target Animals
StockMins – BoviBloat contains a combination of two effective bloat reducing active ingredients, surfactant Teric PE62 and Bovatec. In combination these two powerful actives are designed to assist in the control and onset of pasture bloat caused by direct feeding at pasture.
With one active ingredient, Bovatec® (ionophore) acting to elevate rumen function and in doing so reduce bloat development, and the other active, Teric, controlling symptoms by rapidly dissolving bubbles, dual-active, multi-action bloat control products like StockMins-BoviBloat Plus have proven to be very effective in aiding in the control of bloat under various predisposing conditions.
The trick with bloat control products is to ensure that livestock are going to consume effective amounts of active ingredients at the right time to reduce bloat when challenges occur. StockMins-BoviBloat Plus’ palatable loose-lick formulation enables cattle to easily access the product at levels that provide an effective dose.
For best results, we recommend using StockMins-BoviBloat Plus as a part of an integrated bloat management program.
StockMins – BoviBloat Plus is a semi-granular, loose lick feed supplement. It appears as a light coffee colour. It is salty to the taste and has distinct sweet molasses smell.
Free Access Feeding:
Offer StockMins – BoviBloat Plus free access in tubs (200L drums or 1000L containers cut in half) limiting intake to around 100 – 150g head/day for cattle. Animals will tend to control their own intake.
Use one tub for 30 cows.
Mixed Rations:
Mix thoroughly together with other ingredients to make a complete mixed ration at a rate that enables you to feed 100g of StockMins – BoviBloat Plus supplement per head per day.
StockMins – BoviBloat Plus is partially weatherproof. It is advisable to prevent rain from affecting the product where possible. Where rainwater is unavoidable, use tubs (half 200 litre drums or half 20 litre drums are ideal) with vertical slits down the side and holes in the bottom to allow rainwater to drain out.
Caution:
– Only feed to livestock intended.
– Do not allow access to horses!
– Do not feed to sheep!
– Introduce gradually and monitor intakes until intake stability is achieved.
– Do not use in lamb or beef feedlot diets.
