Designed to support pregnant and lactating ewes fed high grain diets when energy, essential minerals, vitamins and trace elements are in high demand
Target Animals
From late pregnancy until peak lactation (the period covering 3 to 4 weeks either side of lambing), the energy requirements of ewes grows exponentially, especially in twin bearing ewes. When this coincides with the lack of abundant quality green feed, energy can be supplemented by feeding high energy grain.
Although a highly effective energy supplement, feeding too much grain too early can cause grain poisoning (acidosis). A combined method of slow induction onto grain and the use of an effective buffer can significantly reduce the chance of acidosis and enable effective energy supplementation of pregnant and lactating ewes.
StockMinsEweLamLac + Buffer contains high levels of available magnesium, calcium, acidic salts, as well as elevated levels of other essential minerals, vitamins and trace elements.
The inclusion of effective long and short-acting buffers supports high-level grain feeding to boost energy supply while fortifying ewe health, immune response and assisting in reducing the occurrence of pre-tax, dystocia and hypocalcaemia.

Offer free-access in tubs allowing ewes to consume an average of 20 to 30g/hd/day.
Once fully adapted, animals will control their own intake. Use one tub (20L drum cut in half) for 50 sheep and replenish supplement when required.
Include in grain mix at a rate that allows 25g/hd/day intake.
